Ralph Fiennes - Favourite for Next James
Bond
Ralph Fiennes has been voted by film fans as their favourite to
be the next James Bond. The British actor stormed ahead of George
Clooney ("Confessions of a Dangerous Mind") who came in
second.
In a survey of 1,000 people conducted by Amazon.com to celebrate
the DVD and video release today of the latest Bond film "Die
Another Day," 24 percent thought Fiennes would make the perfect
replacement for current Bond Pierce Brosnan.
George Clooney took 15% of the vote for second position. Third
place was shared by Colin Firth ("What a Girl Wants" /
"Bridget Jones Diary") and Clive Owen ("The Chancer"
/ "Bourne Identity") 12% each, with pop singer Robbie
Williams coming in fourth with only 11% of the vote.
Hollywood heavyweights Leonardo DiCaprio ("Gangs of New York"),
Ben Affleck ("Daredevil") and Russell Crowe ("Beautiful
Mind") got only 10 percent of the vote between them, while
Hugh Grant ("Two Weeks Notice"), Jude Law ("Cold
Mountain") and Ewan McGregor ("Moulin Rouge") were
all missing from the list.
